(REVIEW) WRATH OF THE TITANS By A.Majors
This is the sequel to the 2010 remake of “Clash of the Titans” once again starring Sam Worthington as Perseus. A lot has changed from the last time we saw Perseus, his wife (IO) is deceased and he has a son. Perseus is still a fisherman wanting to have nothing to do with his father or the gods and is teaching his son to follow in his footsteps. This does not last for long when word of Kronos (father of Zeus, Hades and Poseidon) is planning to escape the underworld and unleash hell on humanity, once again putting Perseus on an adventure that includes the Gods and many more creatures.
Returning along with Perseus as he ventures on his quest are Zeus, Hades, Poseidon and Queen Andromeda (former princess), as well as a few new guest like Perseus’s cousin Agenor, brother Ares and Fallen god Hephaestus. All the characters are great and the actors all hit their marks, especially Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes as Zeus and Hades these two have some of the best scenes in the film. The character who really steals the show would be Agenor, the cousin and wise cracking son of Poseidon. He provides comic relief without going overboard and being a perfect contrast to Perseus. Aside from the action that’s what gives the movie its strength the characters, everyone is pitch perfect no one is over the top or appearing flat. This time around each character has more emotion then before even the villains, you see the moral conflict within Hades in dealing with his father and brother, and you see the struggle Perseus has with being part human and part demigod. The scenery (which is best in 3D) is truly something to marvel at whether it’s the underworld, temple of the gods or Tartarus they all look visually stunning. You feel totally immersed in every scene whether it is Perseus flying on Pegasus or exploring the land of the Cyclops you will totally get sucked in. We can’t skip the obvious draw for the film which is the action, which does not disappoint, the fighting is well filmed, fast paced and massive, especially the climactic battle of Kronos and his army verses Perseus and the mortals.
Bottom line
WOTT is a great action movie with strong characters and a good story. This film is a vast improvement over its predecessor and I highly recommend it.

Movie Review: Chronicle By Kevin Ray
The Chronicle review
By Kevin Ray
The life of a teenager is full of hope, ambition and confusion. It’s a time when you make the transition from childhood to adulthood and with that time comes many things. Ambition, confusion and sometimes an over exaggerated sense of one’s self. Whether good or bad, the life of a teenager is hectic. On top of the desire to set yourself apart from the crowd, imagine if you had the absolute power to do so. Chronicle does just that.
Three teens, who attend the same school, are on separate paths in life. One a stand out football star is headed for a life of stardom, another, your average Joe, just trying to make it through high school and finally the kid who just can’t catch a break. The three meet up one night outside a party to explore a cavern. What they discover in that cavern changes their life, literally. The three teens develop supernatural powers that steadily get stronger. A bond is created between the three and as their bond grows so does there power.
“Absolute power corrupts absolutely”
When one of the teens loses control of his temper, all hell breaks loose.
The action scenes are amazing, along with the comedy that would naturally ensue from a bunch of teens that have no clue what to do with their selves or their newfound powers. Chronicle is worth the coin and is one of the best action films of 2012 so far. Summer will definitely have to bring the noise to compete with the super powers of Chronicle.
